After the first two episodes of the game went viral and gained popularity in the genre of flash games, Trollface Quest 3 was launched. Available as a flash game to all PC users, the third version is similar to the first two and is classified as a puzzle, strategy, and point-and-click game. Getting trolled is unavoidable in this version too and there are no easy levels or logical solutions. The game makes no sense as always. Published by PPLLAYY.com, it is now available on every other flash game site.
Changes in Gameplay
Trollface Quest 3 has a similar gameplay and a simple main screen with two options: Start game and Select level. "Start game" option starts the game from the first level, but if you have already cleared some levels, the progress is saved and you can play any unlocked level you want by selecting that level.
The game starts with a comic that shows someone stealing a troll version of Mona Lisa named Trolla Lisa. The second comic is about finding out who stole it and apparently, the player needs to clear all twenty levels to find out who stole the painting.
The graphics are similar to the first and second version, and most of the pictures appear as hand-drawn sketches. This episode has a brown color scheme unlike multiple colors used in the last version of the game. The game continues to be a point-and-click game, so you only need a mouse to play it. Like the previous episodes, this version also consists of twenty puzzles to solve and thus, twenty levels. Solving these levels can take hours of playing and getting trolled repeatedly.
All the levels are illogical and make no sense whatsoever with each one having a unique solution. In the final puzzle of the game, the player is required to spot five differences between two pictures of Trolla Lisa, which is a troll version of Mona Lisa. It seems like an easy enough level as finding the first four differences only takes a few moments, but finding the fifth is near impossible, even if you stare at the pictures for a long time. The trick is to run the cursor on the picture until you find a single pixel to click on the left-hand side in the background scenery and upon clicking on it, a troll face appears.
Upon completing all the levels, the player is offered the option to view the final comic, which reveals that the painting Trolla Lisa was stolen by the nemesis of the main character i.e. Troll Face. So the player is trolled yet again by Troll Face, even after completing all the twenty levels. This version of the game introduces a story that can be completed by solving all the unrelated puzzles. If you have tried the first two editions of this game, then this one will also satisfy your troll needs and make sure you feel stupid plenty of times while playing.
